Founded in 1992, Dacheng Law Offices is one of the first and largest partnership law firms in China. On 10 November 2009, Dacheng was approved by The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice to transform its general partnership into special general partnership. On 1 January 1994, China's Legal Daily reported that Dacheng Law Offices has become the largest law office in China in its editorial entitled “The Best of Chinese Politics and Law”. in 1998, Dacheng was awarded the title of Civilized Law Firm at the Ministry level by the Ministry of Justice; in 2005 it was rated as Outstanding Law Firm of Beijing; in 2006, the firm was ranked first by the Internet Society of China among the “Chinese Internet Users’ Ten Most Favorite Legal Services Brand Names of 2006”; in 2007 Dacheng Law Offices led the initiative in establishing the Dacheng Charity Fund managed by the Chinese Red Cross Foundation,in 2008 Dacheng was selected as “National Model Law Firm” of 2005-2007 by the All-China Lawyers Association.
In August 2009, leading Asia-Pacific magazine Asian Legal Business (ALB) ranked Dacheng Law Offices as one of the Top 20 Chinese Law Offices by Size, and first among the Top 50 Asian Law Offices by Size in 2009.
On 27 November 2009, Dacheng Law Offices was awarded the “profession Pioneer Award” by the Beijing Bureau of Justice and Beijing Municipal Lawyers Association.
