Bill Shang is a legal expert in investment and financing fields. Bill Shang has over 10 years experience in law, and has represented numerous private equity funds, banks, securities firms, insurance companies and other financial institutions, multinationals and other enterprises in a variety of investment and financing transactions of several billion US dollars, including investment funds (formation of PE funds and real estate funds and their subsequent investments), M&As, capital markets (equity and debt offerings) and banking and finance transactions. In terms of industry sectors, he has extensive experience in financial services, real estate, energy, pharmaceuticals, automotive, hotel, distribution, retail, logistics, infrastructure, media, telecom, internet and software, etc.
Bill Shang currently serves as external legal counsel to a number of financial institutions, multinationals and other companies.

Bill Shang is a member of both Securities Law Research Committee and Banking Law Research Committee of Shanghai Bar Association. He serves as a researcher at the Institute for Entrepreneurship Law of East China University of Politics and Law. He is also a member of Shanghai Pudong Youth Association and Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association.
